Our first year of officially having a decoration celebration was a great success. Thank you everyone that came out for it. The house has always been decorated for the season, but we haven't had an official "touring" event for it. We have our "Member's Christmas Party" early in the month, several other parties are held throughout the month as well (rentals). So, make sure you become a Member so you can attend our party. Otherwise, we will announce dates for 2022, it's looking like December 10th - 11th, 2022 | December 17th - 18th, 2022...
The first year that Haunted Abilene was held under the umbrella of the Swenson House Historical Society. It also generated more donations than any of the previous years!
Another great Haunted Abilene, we are so thankful for all the community support in this Covid year. Friday night was pretty cold & Saturday turned out to be lovely. Our Haunted Trolley featured a historic haunted downtown stop with a skit that boarded the trolley & was a lot of fun! If you are unfamiliar with the event, it is in its 12th year. The house's interior & exterior is decorated with Halloween decor, volunteer actors in & out of the house contribute to the haunted attraction. There are tickets for a house tour, tickets for a trolley ride & a combo ticket for both. We hold it the weekend before Halloween on Friday & Saturday.

The second year for the Boo Bash & it is going to keep getting better & better! We had a sold out event & we can't wait to see where this event is at in 5 years. Great food & drink with an enthusiastic crowd that takes their costumes serious. You better be creative & elaborate if you want to win a contest here (or have a lot of money;))!

Guest are given a map of 7-8 addresses in the Abilene area & they have the full day to visit each home.
